Editorial policy
Workflow
- Draft — a new-term radar or editor creates Markdown with frontmatter and sourced facts only. Status is
draft; drafts are not built into the public site. - Review — a human checks names, licenses, numbers, internal links, and trademark rules. Remaining gaps go into
openTodos, never as invented stats. - Publish — status becomes
published, the page is linked from an alternatives hub (or a models hub), and it ships in the sitemap and RSS. - 14-day review — at day 3 / 7 / 14 we check indexing and freshness, then keep, update, merge, or prune.
AI assistance
Drafting may use AI. Publishing requires a human pass. We do not ship unreviewed bulk pages. Authors are currently credited as “forkalt editors”.
Sourcing
Stars, likes, parameter counts, and licenses must cite an official repository, model card, or license file, with a date. Benchmarks, if quoted, stay attributed and are marked as not independently reproduced.
Independence
Affiliate or sponsored links, when they exist, use rel="sponsored" and a page-level disclosure. They do not change ranking on alternative lists. Open-source and free options are listed first.
