Tools
A tool page is for a named piece of software: what it is, who publishes it, the license we read, platforms listed upstream, and whether it runs locally. Numbers such as GitHub stars always carry a date. If the project calls itself early alpha, we repeat that instead of implying it is ready for production work.
Every published tool hangs off at least one alternatives hub (internal-linking rule R1). Use the hub when you are choosing among options; use the tool page when you searched the product’s own name. Install steps live on guides and are marked untested when we have not run them.
